A frustrating game for the Tigers, who had to fight back to secure a draw.
The Tigers outplayed the competition with individual skill and some great passing. They played effective "one-two's" and found space.
However, we were unable to take advantage of some sublime deliveries into the box in the first half as the boys were too flat and bunched. Eventually we went ahead, but it was soon neutralised by a great run and individual powerful shot on goal. It was pretty much the only time the competition got through our solid defence all game.
We then began to misfire, looking for difficult shots rather than passing the ball to our unmarked team mates in the box.
Burpham got a lucky own goal, but our Tigers showed great resilience in coming forward whilst retaining shape at the back and ground out a well deserved equaliser. They never dropped their heads.
The final quarter was all our way, but the visitors held on for a draw. No doubt a frustrating result for the boys and spectators, but a fair result on the day.
